More very hate-able commercials

Read the thread starting with post 1333 and all will be revealed.

Thanx

A guy named “Mahk” is taking the piss out of those ultra-annoying Chevy “real people” commercials: If "Real People" Commercials Were Real Life - CHEVY Emoji Ad - YouTube

There are three or four more in the series. Those are funny, too. Thanks!

That damned Haribo Gummy Bear commercial with the adults in a board room, all sounding like 3 year old kids, that have a case of arrested development.
It’s not funny, it’s not cute, it is just annoying as hell. The writers have never been around children, or if they have they have been around the stupidest kids anywhere.

One word: “Buschhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”.

Eyepowerment

You know that commercial for some drug or other that proudly proclaims it’s better than its competition because it affects six things rather than one? And “six is more than one”?

Today I saw an ad for some new drug that proudly proclaims that it is better than the competition **because **it affects only one thing while the competition affects some larger number. Somehow they stop short of saying “one is less than (whatever it was” :smack:

I wonder why that actor guy is going around movie/TV show sets and talking to the actors and crew about getting their taxes done.

That’s Jon Hamm from “Mad Men”.

But why is he hawking tax prep? Does he really need a side gig?

The apple commercial with “stickers” for the iPhone. Yes, 140 characters is wasteful. Let’s further devolve communication to the electronic equivalent of cave drawings.

Hah! I read some rando crank’s expletive-laden rant about texting that reminds me of this! I’ll try to find it again…

My current “hateable” commercial is the one where the guy mumbles that he suffers from opioid-induced . . . constipation, and then goes to his doctor (who is totally hot) and she makes poop jokes. I imagine her pulling on rubber gloves.

And yes, the Verizon ad for stickers is the lamest thing I’ve ever seen. I mean, these people in the ad look like they’re old enough to shave or wear bras, and then acting like kindergarteners.

Linky?

I have a mental image of El Presidente broadcasting upraised-middle-finger emoji in place of actual tweets.

This friggin Gatorade granola bar commercial with everyone mumble-singing with their mouths full.

I never cared for these Chevy commercials and I have asked some of the same questions to my TV as Mahk. Laughing my ass off watching him.

How about the uncanny valley elephant that likes pistachios?
