Morning, afternoon, evening or night?

So what type of person are you: morning (6 am to 12pm), afternoon (12:01 pm to 6 pm), evening (6:01 pm to 12am) or night (12:01 am to 6 am) and does this have any significant ramifications on your lifestyle?

Me, I’m more a evening/night person…from 8 pm to 4 am I’m at my peak. Obviously this does create a problem from the standpoint of careers (most of the world still operates “9-5”) and some relationships (I don’t handle mornings very well)…

I’m also an evening/night person. One wonderful summer when I was in high school and didn’t have a job, I managed to live the dream. I stayed up until 4:00 a.m., and slept until 4:00 p.m. Nowadays, no matter how little sleep I get the night before, I’m always feeling better by 7:00 p.m., and I stay up past 11:00 p.m. most nights. My problem is, I really can’t get by on so little sleep (as illustrated above, I need more than 8 hours), so my day is torture.

Afternoon/evening. It’s nice because I get off work at 3:00, so I still have lots of good hours left in the day!!

& it does not matter when I go to bed, I have no discernible brain before nine o’clock. My morning preparations are done entirely on autopilot, & I save routine paperwork stuff for the mornings at work. I’m a total zombie. I just stagger around trying to eat the brains of the living.

Afternoon/evening. Actually, unless I’m totally sleep deprived, I tend more to evening and night. Late, late night. Almost extending into early morning. But then again, I’m running on an early schedule now, so right now I’m currently at my peak late afternoon to early evening.

It depends on what I’m doing. If it’s something I want to do, they anytime of the day will work. But if I don’;t want to do it, I don’t last. Take school as an example, I dose in the majorty of my classes.

Evening/night and it’s had its positives and negatives. Postive, I can drive into the night and never feel sleepy. Negatives of course, the world operates on a schedule quite different, and so I go along with it, EXCEPT on the weekends, then I can be as pervertedly up all night as I want!

Definitely evening. I usually can’t wait til autumn/winter arrive so I can enjoy 70-degree weather and shorter days. Too bad it’s getting warm again here in Long Beach because it’s the best feeling to get out at 7:00pm with an early evening breeze.

It would seem that I am becoming an anytime kind of person these days…
My day starts so early and ends so late I go through a series of ups and downs all day long. I can get up in the morning and get stuff done but around ten am I slow down for a few hours, in the afternoon my down time is around five pm. If I can nap in the afternoon it’s a real bonus but sadly, my new schedule doesn’t have room for that kind of afternoon indulgence anymore.
I didn’t finish work last night until two am after starting work at one pm… I was up yesterday at 7 and went nonstop until I got home around 2:30 am. I got in a nap today and feel like I have energy to spare right now when I should be in bed, asleep.

Even though I wake up at 6:00 no matter what, can’t help it, I am an afternoon/evening person. I am best from 12:00 to 10:00 or so.

Hmmm… You just decribed me to a tee. Except replace ** I don’t handle mornings very well ** with ** I don’t do mornings at all.**

Coffee? Quaaludes? Heroin?

Me, I’m a night owl. If I had my druthers, I’d be awake and productive from noon to 4am. At the moment, I’ve managed to train myself to get up between 5-6am and be reasonably functional, but by no means is it my preferred schedule.

I’m definitely an evening person. I really catch my upswing around sunset, and wind down around 1 am or so, going to bed about 3 am on most days. Thankfully, the profession I’m studying (chef) survives on evening people. I love being a night person, doing nighttime things!

TOTALLY night person for me.

I get SO energetic from about 12 AM to 5 AM…

Makes it tough getting back to normal schedule after weekends though.

If I had to pick, I guess it would be evening. For some reason I seem to come alive when I get home from work. I can stay up past midnight most nights, even though 6 am comes really early - definitely NOT a morning

Despite my name, I am a morning person. I love mornings. I am usually up at 5 every morning (even on my day off) and have been for most of my life. I function best in the mornings, and am perky by 6 am, earlier if I have had a cup of coffee. For the most part, I usually do not need coffee. If I do not have the entire house cleaned by 7 am on Saturday, the entire day is wasted.

HOWEVER!..

I am a QUIET morning person. I do quiet things in the morning, like reading, so as no to disturb everyone else. I realize that the rest of the world does not function on the same wonderful schedule that I do, that most people do not appreciate the wonderful promise of an exciting day that each new dawn brings (unless I take a picture of the sunrise for them). I am the person who has the coffee made early so everyone else can eventually drag their sluggish butts out of the sack.

Then again, having discovered these message boards, my schedule has been thrown all out of kilter. But I am working getting back to my normal morning self.

I’m more of an evening/night person (more evening then night though) which is sad since I have to get up at 6:30 every morning to be at school on time. Usually on weekends I have late night and sleep in till 10 or 11 sheer decadence then… I think I’m being converted to n afternoon evening person though since its 10 and I’m tired… but that might just be the lack of sleep…

Def. NOT a morning person. It all happens at night for me. Insomnia keeps me awake till 3 or 4 every morning so mentally it takes me a few hours to get going. I’m at my sharpest around midnight.

Definitely evening.
I used to stay up until 4 a.m.
Now that my son goes to school however, my body wants to be a night person. I fall asleep if I lay down at 10 p.m.

A morning person here. Like screech-owl, I get up at 5:00am week-days. (6am week-ends). I love it. My most productive time is between 7am and 10am. I get pretty brain dead in the afternoon, but get a second wind around 5:00pm. I am usually in bed by 10:00pm.

I love the start of a fresh morning…
