"Morning Joe" - Joe

Much better than “Morning Joe” when Joe Scarborough is actually on the show.

When Joe is on the air, it’s an unwatchable borefest in which he pontificates and bloviates and repeats himself and interrupts everyone else and talks through their attempts at interrupting him and acts smarmy–and this is without noting his often-reactionary, nostalgic politics that are of no interest to anyone but him. Factor in the politics and it makes me want to scream.

But without him, it’s an interesting panel discussion of current affairs.

“Mike and Mike in the Morning” OTOH is unwatchable when either of the hosts is off–their shtick is enjoyable and you get the feeling that they get along and are just playing two guys who disagree on most sporting issues, but when you get Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless guest-hosting, I can’t figure out which to tear out first, my eyes or my ears.

I’m surprised that putting Bayless & Smith in the same studio doesn’t result in Bristol, Conn. collapsing into a massive suck hole.

I’m also surprised if Morning Joe doesn’t have permanent bruising on his back from his constant pat-on-the-backs for being a part of the Bestest Congress Ever.

The wife and I couldn’t agree more. We are always thrilled whenever we turn on the TV and there’s Mika sitting at the desk without Joe (but this sometimes leads to disappontment when it turns out he just wasn’t part of that segment.)
