I’m reading an audio-video forum right now and some guy has gone into a shop to see the new widescreen Sony projectors…
The sales guy opens the box, plugs in an inadequate DVD player that doesn’t sync with the built-in deinterlacer so the image comes out interlaced with ‘sawtooth’ edges on motion.
Interlaced images don’t show up on TV so much, but when the picture is 10 feet wide it’s unwatchable. ANYWAY, the guy - the Salesman says:
“thats just the way LCD is vs DLP - since DLP is so much faster”
when forum bloke asks why it’s such a poo picture.
I say:
AGHAGAH hag hagahgah gahaghag ahgahg HGAH GAHGAHGAhga
But their rules don’t allow it. Hence this rant.
Ah, and about what $alesman said: It’s like saying this expensive Chateau d’Yquem wine tastes awful because it’s in glass and you really should spend $14’000 on this crystal one.
Why Oh Why do tech Salesmen BS sooooo much?
