There is a person driving an older vehicle. Let’s see what we can find. If he isn’t driving a new Lexus, he is probably late on his insurance, may be hauling drugs, etc. Cops call it “intuition”. After a few incidents, you start to notice that all the pull-overs that you see involve older cars.
I didn’t run a stop sign, or a “yellow light”, and I didn’t mouth off. I denied the asshole’s charge, and after treating me and my girlfriend like crap, had no leg to stand on and had to let us go. Did you even read my posts? Moron.
One of these things, is not like the other.
That one was nothing at all; some of the others were bad. Not that I expect Stan Shmenge to get it, but you can know your rights without being a dick to the cops, which is only going to piss them off and make the situation worse.
Asking a cop if he’s driving drunk and telling him he almost hit you is definitely mouthing off, and even if it’s true it’s never going to do you any good. You sound like you enjoy being a martyr.
But I was NOT a dick to the cops. I merely asserted my innocence. The fact is, they had NO right, under probable cause to believe that I had committed any offense! They were liars, on a fishing expedition, and pulled me over for no other reason than the fact that I was driving an older vehicle.
So the message is, keep yourself deep in debt and be a slave to the consumer culture, or you are a bad citizen. Now step out of the vehicle.
In that incident, I was let off. No citation was issued. I guess I was a big martyr. Maybe some of you could learn a lesson from ME about how to talk to the cops.
Asserting your innocence would be saying “No.” You went beyond that and tried to provoke the guy by criticizing his driving. Even if he’s a bad driver, you went out of your way to escalate the situation. That’s the common element in most of your stories about cops - you get mad at being pulled over unfairly, decide your rights are being violated, say something mildly insulting, and then act surprised that the situation becomes more unpleasant.

But, you idiot, the situation did NOT become more unpleasant. The guy almost rear ended me, not because he was a bad driver, but because he was trying to FORCE me into a violation. Can you say the word ENTRAPMENT you fucking moron? I merely called his stupid game. And piggie backed down. I robbed him of all his shit. Left him limp and dickless by the side of the road. Do I have to spell it out for you any clearer?
Yes, because as I explained to the dickless piggie, I feared for my safety. I thought I had a DRUNK behind me. I did what I did in the interests of SAFETY.

Oh, and for fun, why don’t you go ahead and think about why it is that folks like me have almost no negative encounters with the piggies, and someone like you has a grand and rich history of successfully “defending” yourself from them. You actually think that whatever it is you’re doing “works” when you seem to be constantly having to deal with the threat of getting a ticket.
You got no citation, so you’ve got nothing to complain about in the first place. In most of your stories, nothing happens to you, and you could’ve achieved the same result without being an asshole to the cop, because you didn’t do anything wrong in the first place. But you like mouthing off to cops because then you get to complain about how they tried to oppress you (and were such dicks when you “merely asserted your innocence”) and you get to feel like a big man for challenging the pigs, who are looking for every excuse to toss Stan Shmenge in the hole.
I don’t drive much these days, but even when I drove eight and ten and fifteen-year-old trucks, the po-po never pulled me over. I must be a secret Armenian.

I do have something to complain about. There was never any probable cause to pull me over, and the coppers lied to me and made up stories about things I did not do. This makes them liars. Or perhaps you think the cops should be able to just pull over anyone on false pretenses, and as long as no citation is issued (because the cop realized the citizen wouldn’t take their shit), no harm, no foul. You sicken me.
It’s difficult. Why, I’m so stupid that when there’s someone’s following uncomfortably closely on my tail I pull over and let him go past me rather than do the truly intelligent thing of running a stop sign. Except the part where you “slightly” ran a stop sign, which slightly gave him probable cause.
Does an 84 Mercedes count as “late model”? How about a somewhat beat up '96 Ford Explorer? For a few years I drove a new Civic, which I suppose separated me from the hoi polloi, but before that I had a 8+ year old Accord, I also drove a similarly aged Sentra, and Rabbit convertible, all with no tickets. The only times I ever got pulled over was in the late 80’s when I was driving a restored '69 Buick Riviera, that was back when I was a relatively new driver and not as cautious a driver as I am today.
As to where I drive, I’ve spent my life in the North East, mostly in various parts of NYS, but now I live in Jersey, and haven’t had any problems here either.
It absolutely IS entrapment. The cops intentionally came close to causing a TC, with the pure intent of making me do something I wouldn’t ordinarily do. Do you even know what entrapment is? They let you moderate? Ok fine.
