Many years ago i had tons and tons of bites on all my body. I found out there were hundreds of bed bugs in my bed and they were hiding in a certain place on the bed. I threw that bed away and bought a new one. However, i still see a few bed bugs there hiding.
Recently i gotten bit a lot on my face. I had cystlike bumps on my face and i had thought this was acne… but now i found out these are either mosquito or bedbug bites as i see i have like 7-8 spots on my face that was clear… its all reddish now b/c of it and its 100 percents its a bug bite. I even went to the living room and sleep now b/c of this and guess what happened… i still gotten bites there. I dont mind getting bit on my hand etc but they bit my face.
The thing is im pretty certain these bites are mosquito bites and not bed bug bites. I checked amazon and they sell these things called mosquito nets for beds like this
Does anyone know anything about these? So i just buy this and then it would block any mosquito from coming in? What i dont get is… how do you attach it to the top? Do you need to buy something extra?
Someone mentioned you need to buy hooks to do this. IM not good at all at assembling stuff… can someone tell me if this is at least simple and not very hard?
You need to screw an eyehook into the ceiling (or four of them in the case of your first link). If you can’t locate a stud to screw into, you can drill a hole through the sheetrock and install an appropriately-sized anchor to screw into, similar to this. We used these nets in Africa and they’re very effective. Won’t help you against bedbugs, however.
Hi. Yes im aware it wont help with bedbugs but im pretty sure the bites on my face now are mosquito bites.
I basically want to put something over my bed so no mosquito bites me when i sleep and i have so many of these bites on my face, its very depressing.
Do you know how long it takes to screw an eyehook into ceiling and all that?
Is there another solution similar to a mosquito net for me?
Installation time probably depends on the type of ceiling. If it’s wood you can predrill the holes and screw them in by hand. If it’s drywall you can probably just screw them in without predrilling but if you intend to put much force on the net you might want to use anchors. Even with drilling I’d say it should only take a minute for each hook.
Even these would work, but the “Most Helpful Review” on Amazon for the first net you linked to in your OP says it comes with hooks. Whether you use an open hook or one like Chefguy suggests will depend on how the net is designed. I picture some sort of nylon loop sewn into the thing, so you’ll need some other piece of hardware or tie to attach it to an eyehook.
Dude, you’ll need to get a ladder or stool or something and see what your ceiling is made of. The both types of hooks we’ve mentioned screw into the ceiling.
My ceiling is basically what an old apartment would use. It has broken before pieces of it and we had to paint it to keep it in tact. Im not very familliar with these things.
So i need to drill a hole into the ceiling? Im not familar with any of this stuff at all.
Srry for these newbie questions.
