Most annoying TV cops?

Ok, I looked it up. It’s “Criminal Minds”. Here’s his default expression.

Ooh Ooh!

Ok, I’ve seen that show, though not often enough to be annoyed by anyone – so far. Thanks.

Reminds me though, of NCIS. A lot of annoyance in it, but especially DiNozzo, who’s just a non-stop asshole.

So true. In fact the whole damn show.

Too many IRL detective use that same method. They decide who is guilty and gather only evidence that supports that, discarding everything else, and ignoring any other suspects. They then submit evidence to the “crime lab” which is happy to interpret the evidence to match the suspect- such as “bite marks” “burn patterns” and incomplete fingerprints.
Trust me, men, if your wife is found murdered, you had better be in a meeting with a half-dozen Supreme Court Justices or you’re going down for it.

Shane Vendrell (sp?) in The Shield. It’s one thing to be corrupt. It’s one thing to be incompetent. It’s one thing to be a complete idiot. It’s one thing to be a coward compensating for it with brash arrogance. It’s one last thing to be a raging racist hick.
All of these would be tolerable on their own.
When you combine all five AND you’ve got a weird-ass ultrabrite grill to boot ; I can’t take you for more than three minutes without praying somebody, anybody punches you in the dick.

I believe the studio did try pairing him up with a partner – Dennis Dugan as Sgt “Mac” Albinsky and Bob Dishy as Sgt. Wilson come to mind. However, the producers wanted the focus on Columbo and the idea never developed. The pressure to have someone else with him led to the addition of his dog.

It is impossible for me to choose between Olivia Benson on ‘Law & Order: SVU’ and Horatio Caine on ‘CSI: Miami’.

OB was not so bad in the early years; but HC was an arrogant AH each and every ep.

I try to get into the police shows, but these days I can’t as it seems every character just has no problem violating the law or civil rights to pursue a case. Someone invoking their right to remain silent and demanding a lawyer seems to mean, “I want you to continue interrogating me” to these characters. And let’s not get into warrentless searches.

Elliot Stabler always seemed the worst along these lines. He was a big turnioff for the show.

Nominee for paranoid rant of the year. The reason husbands are suspected in the murder if their wives is that they are the most likely killer.

The one I saw recently on MeTV with an underling actually came across as a poorly done comedy. Much prefer him just being Columbo.

Sure, but “most likely” doesn’t = “100%” not to mention it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy if you then frame the husband.

Lt. Phillip Gerard.

Good one!

Forget my other post
Anthony DiNozzo on NCIS IMO unprofessional creep

Sledge Hammer!

(for definitions of annoying that include dealing with an active shooter on a building by pulling a rocket launcher out of the trunk and destroying the entire building. Not to mention ending the first season by accidentally detonating a nuclear bomb)

Police Woman’s Angie Dickenson. They even made fun of her on Cagney and Lacey, though not by name. I love great-looking women as cops, but they should look and act credibly athletic for the role.

Maria LaGuerta.

The reason the spouse (male or female) is suspected in a murder is that he/she is the most likely killer.
