Many (nearly 50) years ago, I was fairly friendly with a libertarian (Ayn Rand, variety) who was opposed to public roads. I own a property whose lot is 50’ feet wide. His idea was that I cold build a road 50’ long and charge everyone a toll to use it. And if I didn’t want traffic in front of my house, I could forbid it. Needless to say there would no municipally owned rights of way. I tried to point out to him that there could be no commerce under those circumstances, but he wasn’t buying it. He was bright enough to get a PhD in math. Then he went to law school and when I googled him recently, I discovered that he had retired as a public prosecutor in LA.
The only things he would leave to the government (and have compulsory taxes to pay for) were police and the military. So property (and perhaps life) was a proper concern of the government, but nothing else was. I tired to point out that I was against paying for the military, but he was having none of it. This was during the runup to Viet Nam. The only other extreme view I have personally encountered was a woman who worshipped the Soviet Union. An unreconstructed Stalinist. In the 60s.
My friend’s dad explained to me that the Jews were in control of Europe before WWII, and that they instigated the Holocaust to gain the world’s sympathy so that they could establish the state of Israel. Of course this may fall more under conspiracy theory than political view.

My father thinks that all politicians are BOTH evil and stupid, by definition (because they don’t agree with his insane theories about nutrition, not that it matters). So how does he think we should be governed? Why, replace all those bad folks with good people. But wouldn’t they then all be politicians too, thus be evil and stupid, and so need replacing again?

So, these similar conjunctions in 1998 and 1999, and on February 1 2008 a close approach of Venus and Jupiter to within .5 degree, could mean the Antichrist rose to power in 2000 and I think he is former Russian President Putin. And note that on May 17, 2000 Venus and Jupiter also had a very close conjunction, only 4’ apart, but were too close to the morning sun to be seen. And note that on Nov. 4, 2004, Venus passed within .6 degree of Jupiter.
Also of interest was the 5/5/2000 grouping of the planets on one side of the earth: the 5/5/2000 alignment may be just another sign of the rise of the Antichrist, note that President Putin was inaugurated as President of Russia 2 days later on May 7, 2000.
Possibly the Antichrist was elected as former Russian President Putin in the spring of 2000. Also indicating Putin is the Antichrist: Putin visited Rome on November 4 2003, on the day there was the largest solar eruption from the sun in history. And November 8 2003, during a lunar eclipse, there was a hexagon astrology pattern (6 sides, as in 666) that I relate to the Antichrist Putin, also on the Putin page.
As I said, the Antichrist will appear to be a good man, and will appear to be the saviour of mankind. “Satan comes as an angel of light”. Osama bin Laden I think is the Angel of the Bottomless pit, or The Destroyer, mentioned in Revelation 9:11, a demon or unclean spirit from the depths of Hell, who creates this world crisis we are seeing now that will result in the rise to power of the Antichrist, who is the Satanic Christ, past Russian President Putin. Putin has been praised around the world for bringing stability and economic prosperity to Russia, which under Yeltsin had been headed for anarchy and economic chaos. And in the future Putin may have a key role in building a space defense against asteroids, since an asteroid could be headed for earth; this was announced in December 2009, that Russia may intercept an asteroid that could hit earth in the future. Another way Putin will come to world power as the Antichrist is by controlling the world’s Natural Gas reserves, Russia having the world’s largest Natural Gas reserves. Putin can help the world avoid economic disaster from escalating oil prices or shut-off of Middle Eastern oil, by supplying Natural Gas to the world by LNG and gas pipelines. It appears that Putin controlling Natural Gas reserves and prices is a key way that he can control the world economy.
But I think an event frequently discussed in Biblical Prophecy called “The Rapture” will not occur, because this is a misinterpretation of Biblical prophecy by innumerable writers and preachers. Supposedly “The Rapture” would occur during or just before the rule of the Antichrist, and would be an instantaneous dissapearance of millions of Christians around the world, leaving other people behind, and it is described as a joyous event where they will all go to heaven together. I think this will not happen, because these writers and preachers are not correctly interpreting Bible prophecy. I think we are in the End Times, but the Rapture will not occur. Or it could be that The Rapture is caused by a CERN LHC created Black Hole eating earth and all the people on it, possibly in December 2012. Sort of pulls it all together, doesn’t it?
Then again, why don’t we choose our leaders via standardized testing?

from two or three party hacks, through some murky process and selected
one the basis of the competitor’s loyalty to corporate PACs and the party
machine, not to the voters.

and loyal to his constituency, not to PACs ( or the Establishment ). The
political club will, most likely, be able to control state and municipal elec-

I’ve met several variations of that: a woman who by the one-drop rule was black complaining about “dem collerd” in front of her mulata best friend (the BFF was darker, but by US rules they were both black, and this was in the US), my immigrant-to-Catalonia relatives claiming to my not-born-in-Catalonia face that “people should just stay wherever they’re from”; the ideology known as “the Rh people” (Basque racial purity) in the Basque country seems to attract an absurd amount of people with zero Basque ancestry…
My Catalan relatives shut up and stay shut in my presence after I cut into that kind of speeches asking where are their lastnames from 
There’s this guy on my Facebook page who is obsessed with abolishing the Federal Reserve. That might not be so weird, but the fact that he turns every conversation, political or otherwise, back to the need to abolish the Federal Reserve, is both odd and irritating.
A couple who are friends of a friend of mine were members of the international Spartacist tendency.
Apparently they thought that a complete collapse of the world economic system was close at hand, so they encouraged people to apply for as many credit cards as possible and max them out in order to speed the process along (and after the collapse, all those debts would be unenforceable anyways). But when that didn’t pan out, they were stuck with a bunch of big credit card debts.
They also enjoyed spending time denouncing other Communists as collaborators and whatnot.
