Well, I’m only part way through 8. (Up to the hidden country out in the ice whose name escapes me.) But so far Quistis’s personality is just fine. Overachiever, competent, plays a mean game of cards, and has a whip!
Way better than that ditzy puppy-dog, Rinoa. “Can I come too? can I, can I, can I? Lookie, I’m revolutionary!”
I’d be mad at Squall for getting so hung up on her and ignoring the mega-babe that was in front of him the whole time, except… oh yeah Squall’s a big sullen immature idiot I don’t care about anyway. Man, I miss Cloud…
Honestly, it’s been so long since I played anything <FF7, I don’t remember most of these characters other than their names.
NOBODY else picked Aeris!?! Great, then I can have her :). She just seemed like the sweetest of them all. So many FF characters are gloomy, I liked her optimistic attitude.
I was so mad when Sephiroth? sneak attacked her. Bastard. I don’t think I’ve ever cried at a movie, but I had trouble holding it back when I watched Cloud let her go into the water.
I hope not, or we all are. Everyone cries for that scene, or at least gets really, really sad.
Just for character-development and personality, she’s one of my all-time favourites. They could have played her as the all-wise, all-perfect earth-priestess, but she was a lot more complex. I’d rather have her in my party for support than Tifa.
And Great Gospel is my favourite all-time limit break.
Princess Sara, as depicted in 8-Bit Theater, is the composite of two characters from FF3 (released for the 8-bit Nintendo only in Japan). Her “evil outfit” which she wore while working with Garland is how Princess Sara actually looks in FF3. Her other outfit is a character named Elia from later in the game.
Well, her sprites were composites (he does also use her FF1 “overhead map” sprites occasionally), but if you ask me, “bodacious” also includes personality.
