As an aside: From her appearance in Heaven’s Prisoners, I can attest that they may be real, but by no stretch of the imagination are they spectacular.
I stand corrected, which reminds me now to exclude talk shows. When the cast only includes the host, a sidekick or two, and maybe a musical director, along with regular guests, it is out. One may as well include virtually every network talk show on the list.
Nauseating, but not cheating. On the list it goes.
Nor the women – onto the list! I think this is the most recent program to make it, so far.
BTW, would anyone vote for Raymond’s wife as a hottie? Not me.
Lamont from Sanford and Son was sexy. Grady was gross. Aunt Esther was funny enough for me to see beauty in her ugly ass.
I wouldn’t say she’s a hottie, but she definitely improved (lookswise) with age.
And what is it with all the ugly on that show? Even the little boys were freaky looking.
Sexy enough to call him eye candy? I’m willing to remove the show from the list if you think so.
Of course, it’s all extremely subjective, but personally I can’t see the cast of Roseanne as ugly. If fat = ugly, sure. But John Goodman is handsome in a bear-like way, and Roseanne has a lovely face (before she screwed it up with surgery). Lecy Gorensen (Becky I) is absolutely a pretty girl – those eyes are stunning. And what’s wrong with Laurie Metcalf (Jackie)? Cute as hell. And anyone claiming Glenn Quinn (RIP, Mark) wasn’t attractive needs an advanced vision test. Or, to be fair, their taste is just very different from mine.
I’ll grant that Sara Gilbert (Darlene) is fairly average, and Estelle Parsons (Bev) too – though she cleans up nice, especially in her younger years.
As to Boyo Jim’s claim that George Clooney wasn’t hot when he was on the show … uh, you could NOT be more wrong. I mean, he was a stud back in his Facts of Life days, he’s gorgeous as Booker on Roseanne, and he’s off the charts on ER and beyond. The guy is just intrinsically hot.
To add to the list: I haven’t seen many episodes, but no one on Keeping Up Appearances does it for me.
60 Minutes.
With the obvious exception of Morley Safer.
I have no actual knowledge, but when Hollywood womens’ looks improve with age, I suspect surgery. I never watched the show much – can anyone say whether shee’s had a surgical makeover?
Sara Gilbert has legions of geek fanboys. Cross it off the list. I demand it.
If I’m thinking of the same actress, I’m almost certain that she did have some work done. I think she even talks about it in her biography.
I certainly can’t agree with either of these, nor with the late Glenn Quinn. Hell, my mom had/has a thing for John Goodman.
Personally, I always thought she was super-hot, but I seem to be the minority in that one. That’s why I said only Sarah Chalke is “generally considered” to be hot, though I imagine if Lecy Goranson did anything of note after Roseanne, she’d be in that category, too. (In fact, upon Googling her, she seems to have a bit of an Alona Tal thing going for her these days.)
That was my claim, and while I agree his does have the je ne sais quoi, his coif as Booker made him pretty goofy looking.
Would it be cheating to mention anything british? Are You Being Served?
Adding another vote for Maude. Badly dressed too.
I certainly can’t argue with those.
keep the show on the list
I’m going to add Three & a Half Men now that Rose has gone. (from the series showing in NZ anyway).
I’ve always thought the only thing that women would find attractive about Charlie was his wallet!
I never claimed that George Clooney wasn’t hot on the show. I didn’t know that he was on the show at all, nor did I have any idea he was on Facts of Life.
