No cite. But I remember being told that most planes hijacked in the 70’s were out of Greece.
As for Greece I recall in the early 80s the other European nations were considering banning all flights from Athens as they said the security there was a joke.
So I think in that case it was a matter of an airport.
I just can’t recall a Delta Jet being hijacked.
Delta has been hijacked at least once.
