Most hilariously bad song ever?

awww shit! I am on the Wendy the Ho love train. That was better than the after sex cigarette!

“Smell Yo Dick” is so horrible that it’s good.

“My Neck, My Back” by Khia is evil as well.

News flash! I found a new front runner:

Samwell, “What What (In The Butt)”

Wow, Smell Yo Dick is awesome. It is funny and an anthem for the crazy chicks out there.

SSG Schwartz

I just found this one. It is inexplicable, inexcusable, and SFW. I present the Scissor Sisters Comfortably Numb. It is a disco/dance cover of the Pink Floyd song.

That chick has the freakiest eyes I have ever seen.

SSG Schwartz

I present the techno remixes of O, Canada and the Danish national anthem. The Danish one is not bad, actually, just a stupid idea.

Valete,
Vox Imperatoris

ETA: Read the lyrics to the Danish Royal Anthem. :stuck_out_tongue: It’s not the one I posted, but just look at it.

That’s Half-Breed. Dark Lady is the one where she kills the gypsy fortune-teller who’s sleeping with her boyfriend.

Just remembered the best one–“Star Wars Theme (Cantina Band)” by Meco! For those not fortunate enough to hear it, it’s the Star Wars theme done as cheesy generic backing disco with R2-D2 sound effects piled on top! How did Meco (whoever the hell he is) not think after finishing the song “this is quite possibly the dumbest idea for a song ever”?

Brand New Key by Melanie.

Oh, the sheer torture…

I’d like to nominate Vanilla Ice’s magnum opus, Ice Ice Baby

The video really seals the deal on its hilarious awfulness. Was everything that ridiculous in the early 90’s?

Anything by Meat Loaf.

Man, that baby is what I was gonna post.

I’m not sure how fair it is, because I’m 99% sure he’s trying to be funny. But (Teehee), it’s still funny.

Surely it is Sharlene’s epic “I’ve never been to me”. Number one in the UK in 1977 and featuring such deathless lines as:

“I’ve been undressed by Kings/ and I’ve seen some things/
That a woman ain’t 'sposed to see/ I’ve been to paradise/ but I’ve never been to me”

ETA: Great. Now it’s stuck in my head.

anything written by Jim Steinman

Total Eclipse of the Heart

FIsh Heads…Fish Heads…

Rolly polly fish heads.

Fish heads…fish heads…

Eat them up

YUM!

The late '80s Belgian New Beat / techno scene had some great examples:

Plaza - Yo Yo
Tragic Error - Klatsche in die Hände
and the incomprehensible (and VERY succesful) Technotronic - Pump Up The Jam

Did we forget David Hasselhoff?

Lookin’ for Freedom, baby!

Yeah, this is a good choice. The overly bombastic delivery, schlocky topic, and OTT theatrics means that I can’t listen to Meatloaf, Bonnie Tyler, or any of the groups he’s touched. If you go to his Wikipedia page you will see a list of all the bands I hate.

The songs I think are bad because they’re not trying to be funny. He’s serious. Which makes it funny in my little black heart.

Should I admit that I really like at least two songs apearing in this thread so far (and yes, that includes “Total Eclipse of the Heart”)?

Anyway, I’d like to submit the entire Modern Talking ouvre, most particularly “Brother Louis.”

Aw, I love that song.
My nomination is Pac-Man Fever.

Blasphemy!
I had that whole album…
