Most photographed person in...

I reckon the most photographed person in the music industry is Madonna.

Who is the most photographed person in tennis? (a nice easy one to start you off)

Tennis history? Anna Kournikova easily. Sharapova doesn’t come close. The Willims sisters? Hah! And she’s probably more photographed than any ten men’s players alive.

It’s easy to forget just how overexposed she was four or five years ago, in print and on TV as well as on the internet.

Very possible, but Andre Agassi has been playing for 20 years and he was a major sensation when he started playing. He’s still the most famous man on tour. Would his far-greater longevity allow him to catch up to Kournikova?

Ok threadkiller* now you are supposed to carry this on by asking for another ‘most photographed in’
Suggest a field.
*

Or to make it less like a ‘game’ I suppose it can be more fluid and simply be a discussion of who is most photographed in their field.

Does anyone disagree with my suggestion of madonna?

Also I have heard that the most photographed person in history is the Queen

I think that’s probably right. Maybe people are taking more photos of Britney Spears these days, but Madonna would still be ahead all-time, I’m sure.

I started thinking about the most photographed person in history when I opened this thread before. My guess was Pope John Paul II, but Elizabeth II also makes sense.

Most photographed at the moment or most photographed ever?

Agassi might come close. But the thing about Agassi is that (a) his real sex symbol phase was before the explosion of the internet, and (b) he’s a man. I would take a WAG that Kournikova was 5 or 10 times as heavily photographed in her prime than Agassi. Agassi was on the cover of sports magazines and the occasional girly mag. Kournikova was on the cover of EVERY magazine, and had scores of web shrines full of amateur candid shots.

Are you sure that the most photographed person in music isn’t, for instance, Paul McCartney? He was having his picture taken everywhere he went when Madonna was a toddler.

Jenna Jamison claims in her book (Yes, I read her book.) to be the most photographed person in history.

I think Madonna has an advantage in that she’s been famous (can we both agree that she’s been the hotter photo subject at least since '85 or so?) in a more technologically advanced time. Cheaper, more plentiful cameras; the internet; and even more tabloids than in the 60s all work to Madonna’s advantage.

If anyone from McCartney’s general era would threaten Madonna, it would be either Elvis or Muhammad Ali IMO.

The most photographed vagina in history, I can believe.

I would have guessed the most photographed in history was Princess Di. Shorter reign to be sure but was the focus ever intense.

My guess for the most photographed person in history would’ve been my 2-year old son. And most of the pictures were taken by one person: my wife. My 1-year old daughter is probably second on the list.

In baseball, I’d say Derek Jeter is numero uno. In golf, Tiger Woods. In basketball, Michael Jordan.

Since we’re no longer talking exclusively tennis (Jimmy Conners), my nominations for most-photographed are:

Muhammed Ali

Elizabeth Taylor

Pope Paul VI

Shirley Temple

This is fun! I’m skewing old because I’m assuming that video has recently displaced a lot of still photographers (another assumption: that that’s what the OP meant. Oops). Oh, well. Best regards and wishes, everyone.

Maybe a touch of irony would be interesting. Who is the most photographed Amish person in history?

I don’t know but what’s disturbing is that they’re probably in the middle of Intercourse.

In science, no contest: Albert Einstein.

When once asked his occupation, he said, “photographer’s model.”

I’m not sure Big Al is the most photographed scientist ever - I’d guess Jacques Costeau or Marty Stauffer (sp?)

I read that David Beckham is “the most photographed athlete ever”.

Variations on a theme: If the topic were “Painted Portraits of…” I’d have to say it would be jesus.

And to continue: who is the most photographed politician ever?

Only problem with that, as far as we know he never sat for a portrait. Now, you could call it ‘most artists rendition of what their imagination says someone might have looked like’ you’d have something there I think.
