Well, I’ve just gone all out and got Mrs grienspace a gift certificate for 7 hours of pampering at a local posh day spa. It was their top package and I included all the options as well. We’ve been struggling for the past ten years, but this year my business just took off. She deserves it.
While vicariously pondering her fate, I considered the fact that such pampering would do very little for me because I’m a guy. Indeed, at least one popular fishing resort around here has a spa so that the husbands who are out fishing all day can have their wives looked after much to their satisfaction.
It occured to me that guys like to be pampered too, but then sex immediately comes to mind. It would seem to me that a visit to a spa for a woman would be equivalent to a visit to the Chicken Ranch for a guy.
I guess it depends on the guy, but yeah, most guys I know wouldn’t really like a spa treatment.
Between me and my GF, when we go to a resort with a spa she gets all the treatments she wants. My treat is of course, having a GF who’s so completely relaxed and happy that she wants to make me happy
I’ve been to one that had a package designed particularly for men. It started out with a session with a personal trainer, who took you through about a 45 minute workout. You then got to use the steam room and sauna. From there you got a massage. This was followed by a facial (which really felt good) and a shave with a straight razor. After that, you got a soak in a hot tub and/or a shower. Lunch was the last thing on the list and was also provided.
A local resort also has one that includes a round of golf.
I have Mr. Toes addicted to pedicures. I got tired of having to wear a face sheild while clipping his toenails. Those suckers really fly, and they’re sharp! He gets ingrown toenails too, which I am not prepared to handle. He screams like a banshee whenever I get near them. I can’t stand to see my man in pain. So now the manicurist gets these delights.
Lately Mr. Toes has been looking at his hands, pondering a manicure I’m sure.
