[Seattle] The driver of a Ford Taurus turned in front of a motorcyclist, and then drove off. Police followed the trail of fluid to the driver’s ex-husband’s house. The woman did not have a driver’s license, but she did have outstanding felony warrants. An earlier report said she tried to hide the fluid trail by putting dirt on it. Even without the easily-tracked trail, she couldn’t have gotten away. She’d left her license plate at the scene. The motorcyclist’s leg was so badly damaged that it had to be amputated. The woman has been booked for (something like) vehicular assault.
Well, thanks for sharing that inspiring little story.
Somedays, I wish there were a nauseating tragedy somewhere in the world that someone * didn’t * feel compelled to share with the SDMB.
Finagle, just for you, I’m going to avoid mentioning one specific disgusting tragedy here.
So you couldn’t figure out what the story might be about from the thread title? Wow.
Anyway, it’s a tragic story for sure. How someone could hit another person and leave the scene because they fear getting in trouble is beyond me.
There are actually millions of nauseating tragedies every single day that go unremarked upon here and yet you choose to bitch about the one that is.
Sounds to me like you want them all to be ignored. Maybe you should stop feeling compelled to open every single thread.
Here’s another feel good story -
