Move over, Geller: Geo. Simpson, major pistachio, sues everyone in sight

I think this lawsuit is bogus, being deceitful and dishonest.

If being called a liar on an Internet forum and getting upset about it are grounds for a successful lawsuit and can result in a multimillion dollar payout, the Dope is gonna need a lot more banner ads.

The fact section is quite entertaining!

Wow, I didn’t even see that! That’s comedy gold!

I read the entire complaint. Hilarious. I’m gonna send it to my torts professor.

Paragraphs 71 and 72 are especially delightful.

So basically, a few posters’ insults created a bad impression of you for everyone else? Riiiiight. I’m sure it was the insults that did that.
Question for lawyers out there: Can Randi just write “12(b)(6)” on a cocktail napkin, sign it, and file it? Or does it have to be on real paper?

Wow! Us Mods ought to get together. Suits against all posters who have Pitted us!

I just signed up for membership in that forum. Sounds like a lively place to hang out, poke around and post a little.

Oh, great. Like I don’t spend far, far too much time doing that already…

Anyway. I read the rules for the ET Corn Gods Game. Boy, do I feel dumb. I can barely remember the rules for gin rummy.

I don’t think I’ll be playing.

Also, Major Pistachio would be a good username.

Cock-knocker!

As long as you promise to practice safe sex.

In all fairness, Simpson was willing to let things slide until Randi lost his favorite pair of pants.

Liar.

I didn’t think anybody on the JREF board ever had sex, safe or unsafe.

Who exactly is “Geller” in this context?

Uri.

Thanks. I figured it was him, but I didn’t know that he was in the habit of suing everybody he could think of.

He’s sued Randi several times, IIRC.

Liar? They removed the banner ads. I changed my mind. I reserve the right to to that concerning internet sites with any or no reason, at zero notice to the board cops. What’s it to you?

So, if his suit is thrown out of district court with prejudice (or whatever the correct legal term is), I wonder if he’ll appeal to the Supreme Court on the grounds that the district court, by throwing out his case, was interfering with his right to free speech. That would make as much sense as anything else he’s written …

Ha!

I think I must be an ET Corn Atheist.

Sorry. It was an attempt at a joke, riffing on the plaintiff’s complaint that the JREF posters called him a liar.
