Why isn’t a “Why Don’t They” board added to SDMBs? For example, Heloise would offer such a place to vent to the powers that be. (i.e. “darn those hard-to-open medicine bottles & so on”.) There ought to be an IDEAS board on SDMB for the people who have ideas for how things ought to be, & what should be made available commercially, (or in other spheres of life, such as programming languages, websites, organizations…)
Also, IMPORTANT, the board should offer a ratings system whereby people can rate posts “informative” “unique” “needed” etc. Have you seen http://www.globalideasbank.org?
There is a topic called “About This Message Board”. Maybe you should ask there! I will let Manhattan tell you all about it.

Bear, I had already done what you suggested, but just thought I’d tack it on to this thread too, as it seemed appropriate, & also because Manhattan had closed my latest thread entitled “toward an affordable, portable, practical world” which was the result of hours of thought, about stackable configurable portable oak furniture & so on. For some reason, he didn’t like the idea that I repeated it, though it was quite a long while since I last posted it under a different title. And what would have been so terrible, if fresh eyes had a look-see? It got me feeling as if SDMB is the USSR.
