People make fun of the fact that he is aging, and that he isn’t as good-looking as he was when he was young, when he was quite exceptionally handsome [Think: Judgment at Nuremburg].
But I think that people do not realize how old he actually is. He is 93. I should look half that good at 93. My father was born just a year before Shatner, and he died in 1998-- albeit, he had his own hair, he looked a lot worse than Shatner in 1998. And Shatner not only looks pretty got, and is in pretty good shape. He may have glasses, or a walking aid, but can get around without them most of the time.
His voice is young-sounding, and he has good posture.
I’m not saying that he could pass for middle aged, I’m just saying he’s only a year younger than Bob Newhart. Would you guess that?

Sorry if you misunderstood what I was trying to say. Kirk getting older was one of the themes early on in the movie. He was considering his future with Starfleet and Bones also gave him a pair of eye glasses because he was allergic to the usual treatment. I was not referring to his current age (and I wholly agree, he’s getting older but he is also moves and looks pretty good for 93, as far as I can see).
