The Wizard of Oz – in 3D in 2013 through the magic of CGI!
Revenge of the Creature
Son of Svengoolie aired this one Saturday night and you could only get the 3D glasses at 7-11 stores. There was a lot of hype for a not very good movie.
Were they actually policing you turning them in? I have walked out with a few that were supposed to be turned in to be autoclaved (not at the theater) and reused (at least that’s what we were told). I walked out with them so I’d have them when 3D things popped up on TV from time to time.
I didn’t pay a separate price for them, though-- just the additional 3D fee.
There was an usher standing outside the theater entrance (within a larger mutliplex) collecting the glasses. I probably could’ve kept the glasses but I didn’t see the purpose of it. I wasn’t that impressed with the effects. During the movie I removed the glasses a couple of times, it seemed as good or better without the 3-D effects.
When I was a kid I loved watching 3-D movies, even the low-budget ones.
