Really want to list My Brilliant Career, but afraid I’ll get an argument, because the main character sends off her first manuscript in the last scene of the film-- albeit, it opens with her composing the first sentence. Yet, we don’t see her writing throughout the film-- it’s kind of a twist ending-- but a non-shocking, more sort of heart-warming one, from the days before every film had to have a shocking twist at the end.
