neat!
I have a bad feeling about this.
Nice.
That one only goes up to 1999. This one includes quite a few more recent examples (plus an extra-special SW use).
Did I miss it, or did the Mirror Scare montage actually forget Glenn Close appearing in Anne Archer’s mirror in Fatal Attraction? That was the first one that came to mind.
There seem to be several types of “Get out of there!” —
There’s “I need to inform you that your position has suddenly become unsafe.” (The Firm,Bad Boys II). Usually the hero is involved. This generates dramatic tension or indicates an imminent fight scene, but they’re usually safe.
“You are in an obviously unsafe/undesirable position and you should extricate yourself.” (Honey I Shrunk The Kids,Apocalypse Now) - similar to the first, but if the hero’s involved, it’s meant to highlight their bravery/stupidity. If not a major character, they are about to die.
“I want you to get out of wherever you are.” (Spirited Away,Aqua Teen Hunger Force). Sometimes people actually want other people to actually get out of there.
Here’s a little extra Wilhelm.
Is there one for “Let’s get out of here”? That would probably be too long to fit into youtube length limits.
couldn’t find a montage but I’m sure there’s one somewhere:
“Oh! It’s only the cat!”
