I hear it all the time and I’m sure I’m the only one who doesn’t get the reference, but where does:
“This time, its personal.”
come from. A search on IMDB was not helpful. I know the SD’ers 'round here will be.
Thanks.

I can hear the voice distinctly…it’s on the tip of my tongue.
IIRC it’s a sequel and the quote was used in the trailer/preview.
I remember that they used that quote when the trailers for “Jaws 4 - The Revenge” came out.
It’s not a quote.
It’s the promotional tagline used for Die Hard With a Vengeance (1995) and also Jaws: The Revenge (1987)
You’re so smart, Crusoe!
I don’t suppose you’re available for clarifying obscure MST3K references too, are you?
I don’t know about smart, I just have too much spare time…
Okay I hafta slip this in here somewhere in the hopes that someone knows:
In Queensryche’s “Silent Lucidity” there’s one quick audio clip that I know I’ve heard before in a movie. During the bridge of the song a faint voice can be heard saying “How’s this now, better?”
The voice sounds sorta like Sir Alec Guinness, but I can’t say for certain it’s him.
Winner of this one gets a free donut EMailed to 'em!

Re—the original post-----
I believe it was also said by SONNY/JAMES CAAN in THE GODFATHER. There had previously been a discussion about “things” being done for “business” vs “personal” reasons. THAT’S the voice I hear.
