Movie quote game.

Here are the rules.

  1. I will supply the first movie quote.
  2. To respond, you must identify the movie in which the quote originated.
  3. You may then supply a quote of your own.
  4. The quote must be one that is strongly associated with the given movie, not something obscure.
  5. The quote must be unique to the movie, not one that is repeated in a great many movies of the same type or in a series, “Bond. James Bond” would be unacceptable, as it occurs in all but one of the James Bond movies.
  6. If anyone does not follow these rules, well, all I can really do is whine and moan, so I guess we’ll just go on the honor system.

“I don’t want to buy, sell, or process anything. I don’t want to buy anything sold or processed, sell anything bought or processed, or process anything bought or sold.”

What movie?

Say Anything.

“He going to kill himself a crab!”

The Mermaid!

"It’s a deal, it’s a steal, it’s sale of fking century. In fact, fk it Nick, i think i’ll keep it.

Fran

PS- I think there should be an extra rule - no using search engines.

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

Here’s mine:

Something horrible is happening inside of me and I don’t know why. My nightly bloodlust has overflown into my days. I feel lethal, on the verge of frenzy. I think my mask of sanity is about to slip.

American Psycho

“Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and f&%¤ the prom queen.”

American Psycho.

“I believe in America. America has made my fortune.”

Okay, okay, Darqangelle’s is from The Rock. Now do mine!

I believe that is the movie Goodnight America. Mine is really easy, but it is so funny that I must include it…

“Then, when you have found the shrubbery, you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest… with… a herring!”

Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail.

"My contention is prior to the revolutionary war, that the market economies of the southern states could most aptly be characterized as agrarian precapitalist . . . "

or;

"Sean:

If the Professor calls about the job, tell him ‘Sorry. I had to go see about a girl.’"

Good Will Hunting

“He’d kill us if he knew.”

and

“He’d kill us if he knew.”

Also, consider no search engines a new rule.

Good Will Hunting.

“Your days of fingerbanging Mary Jane Rottencrotch through her purty pink panties are over!!!”

I don’t know the previous quote.

Here’s one for Eve:
“I shot an arrow in the air. She fell to earth in Berkley Square.”

Talented Mrs. Ripley

“Do, or do not, there is no try”

Evnglion,

Empire Strikes Back. Definitely a classic.

Nobody gonna venture a guess at mine?

So be it. Try this one:

“Nobody puts Baby in a corner”

Airman Doors’s first quote is from “Full Metal Jacket.” The second one, I think, might be from “Dirty Dancing.”
“Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy night.”

I feel dumb… I have forgotten the name of the movie, but it has Patrick Swaze in it and he is a dancer… really popular movie. I am gonna go with…

“Life after death is as impossible as sex after marriage.”

“Clue”

How about this one?

“I’m glad you’re dead! Hahahaha…Oh, that’s a good one.”

Has no one answered Kayeby’s quote: “I believe in America. America has made my fortune”? Doesn’t the undertaker say that to Don Corleone in the wedding scene in The Godfather?

Total guess on “I shot an arrow in the air. She fell to earth in Berkley Square” - is that from A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square?

goboy’s “Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy night” is from All About Eve.

Here’s mine submission - another oldie: “I am big. It’s the pictures that got small.”

Superdude,

Batman.

Hmmmm, let me think… OK, got one.

“I see you have braces. I have braces, too”.

“Huh, huh, em huh, huh”.

Ooooh a classic! Sunset Boulevard!!

How about: “The nuns… at St Agnes… predicted this!”
