Movie quote ID needed!

I’m trying to recall a scene from some movie to no avail. It’s driving me crazy, and all I’ve got is kinda vague, but here goes nothing:

A rakish, potentially menacing man and his girlfriend/wife are somewhere, possibly at home, while one is staring in the mirror, maybe while getting dressed. The girl says (possibly prompted by the guy) something like, “I love you.” The guy responds, with a dangerous-but-charming twinkle, “You better.”

I keep thinking maybe it was Andy Garcia in “Ocean’s Eleven”, or possibly Bruce Willis in “Pulp Fiction” – or maybe some character like theirs, but in something else entirely…

Any help? (Or maybe I’m just going crazy?)

That vaguely seems familiar to me. Was it from House on Haunted Hill?

I know Jack Nicholson (as the Joker) said something like that in the original Batman movie.

MtM

Was it from the 1989 Batman movie?

The girl (played by Jerry Hall): You look fine.
The Joker (played by Jack Nicholson): I didn’t ask.

Heh, thanks, I kept thinking of that one too, but it’s definitely not the “earworm” that’s plaguing me. Although it’s an equally great line to use on one’s significant other.

The mirror bit does remind me of Pulp Fiction. Bruce Willis, the Boxer, has this little fragile French girlfriend, and I think this is the scene where he is instructing her to be careful not to forget the watch (yes, that watch! :D)

It could very well be that scene. It’s been ages since I’ve seen that movie and now that you’ve reminded me, I really feel like seeing it again, for the music alone. I think part of that scene the girlfriend is looking in the mirror maybe adjusting some clothes or whatever, while Bruce is lying on the bed talking to her. Unfortunately I remember stuff like the wardrobe that the watch is on, the layout of the place, the kitchen where John later drops the Uzi? (not a gun expert) as he goes into the toilet, etc. but I rarely remember dialogue.

Haven’t seen Ocean’s Eleven yet. :o
