Really underrated Christmas movie. Yes, I am probably two days late, but I use the term “Christmas movie” mostly due the to plot itself; it is the kind of movie that you can watch at any time of the year, I feel, despite taking place around Christmas.
It is the kind of movie that really, well, moves you (corny, I know) and makes you think. The acting is pretty good, directing too, and locations and cinematography are beautiful.
Sadly, the movie was badly advertised as a Christmas comedy (its alternate title is “Hoax for the Holidays”), when it is actually a coming-of-age drama with some funny parts.
