I think (hope so I am not crazy) that most of us have favorite movies that contain action or dialogue scenes that we love to brag about and share with friends who may have or have not seen the movies.
These scenes we love enough that we will load up Netflix or pop in the blu-ray just to see or share that scene and if the movie is found while surfing we are compelled to watch at least until that portion of the film is finished.
Some are from great movies, others from bad movies that do not live up to the scenes but are still great to watch.
Lets name some of our favorites, I will start!
Warning Possible Spoilers
Troy - Achilles quickly dispatching Bogarius at the beginning of the movie
Black Hawk Down - Super 69 is going down!
Glen Gary Glen Ross - Baldwins sales speech - Possibly the best 10-12 minutes of dialogue ever created. So underrated.
Fight Club - So many amazing scenes but I will go with "%^* Martha Stewart, were polishing the brass on the Titanic man, it’s all going down! (alternatively… "This is Bob… Bob had *itch tits!)
Pulp Fiction - The 5 dollar shake at Jack Rabbit Slims
The Princess Bride - The sword fight atop the Cliffs of Insanity
Fast Times At Ridgemont High - Phoebe Cates emerging from the pool and Spiccoli in the stolen car.
**
Serenity** - The out-take where Fillion goes off-script about disguising the ship to get past the Reavers.
My wife and I once threw a party where the guests were to bring a DVD with their favorite movie scene. I chose the scene in Amadeus where Mozart first meets the King and improvises on the piano/harpsichord.
