Speaking of dogs, did nobody reference “Where the Red Fern Grows?” The book is more famous than the movie, but the movie is just as sad. I remember there’s a line that goes something like “Why did God kill my dogs?” Horrible, just horrible.
The only film that gets me crying, is my favourite, Planes Trains and Automobiles.

I cried the first time I saw Jurassic Bark, but I never head a pet growing up so I think it would have punched more emotional punch if I had. Like others in the thread, I actually cried more at the end of the episode Luck of the Fryrish, since I think I relate more to it. I didn’t have a great relationship with my sister as a teenager, there was only two years age difference and we had sibling rivalry, and now we appreciate each other more as adults.
I also cried during Armageddon, but not at the end. I teared up when they were heading out to the launch site and the kid saw his dad on tv ("hey, that salesman’s on tv!). I know it’s cheesy.
I can’t remember where I heard this, but apparently Mandy Patinkin’s father was dying of cancer during the making of the film, and he had just passed away prior to the final Count Rugen scene being shot. So this makes Inigo’s line even more personal and poignant.
Ah, okay, thanks. I came across this bit of trivia years ago. Maybe what I heard was that Patinkin was thinking of his father while doing the scene, and how his father’s untimely death influenced his performance. It certainly would mine
