Switch(1975-1978), Eddie Albert and Robert Wagner.
Thanks for this.
This may finally be changing:
Another show with Tea Leoni: The Naked Truth. Never released on DVD as far as I can tell.
Sounds like Bridget Loves Bernie all over again. Mixed marriages have been a stape of comedy since forever.
And it was essentially a copy of an early 20th c. play called Abie’s Irish Rose. I think it’s only famous because, although it was big hit at the time, Dorothy Parker hated it and kept mocking it in her column.
A really new one. A few weeks ago I saw a notice (I think on Facebook) about an online screening of an independent film based on Robert Heinlein’s Life-Line.I tagged it but something came up and I wasn’t able to watch it when it “aired”. I tried to watch it later but the link was no longer active. When I tried to find some way to watch it all I could find was links to the production with trailers, but no information on how the full movie could be viewed.
Beforeigners, which was on HBO earlier this year, seems to have disappeared.
Underfist - The movie pilot for a Billy & Mandy spinoff that wasn’t picked up. Cartoon Network originally aired it as a Halloween special in 2008. Other than October reruns the first few years, it’s vanished. Never got a physical media release. Not available on any streaming service, in fact it doesn’t even show up in the “justwatch” search engine. Every October I hope Cartoon Network makes it available on-demand, but it hasn’t happened in about a decade.
I remember hearing part of a weird radio serial called “Six Days That Shook The Walt”. All I can find is a synopsis: a deranged staple salesman named Walt Goodman goes progressively insane over six days, until getting shot through the head on ‘Jeopardy’.
Wasn’t the title “Stompin’ at the Savoy”? Very good show.
I’d like to see the entire series of Lanigan’s Rabbi, based on the Rabbi Small novels, but have not been able to find any of the five episodes anywhere.
If I remember correctly, that was part of a rotating series of mysteries under an umbrella title (Sunday Mystery Movie or something like that) . It might be somewhere ( maybe YouTube) under the umbrella title.
I had never heard of that series until now, but IMDB says it’s of Norwegian origin. That may have something to do with it.
It was all in Norwegian, so I was aware of that. Is disappearing a characteristic of Norwegian productions?
I have no idea. Maybe there was something going on with Norwegian copyright law?
Looks like it was on youtube. You can read a little bit more here
Seems to be a 30 minute short and is playing at festivals right now. Once that’s done, they will try to find a streaming platform.
I noticed that also. I had it on my list but never got around to watching it. It seems it’s not streamable anywhere now. It reminded me a bit of The Crossing, which was out at the same time, 2018, but not nearly as good.
i remeber that that was the hoss delgado one ?
yep, Hoss, Irwin, Skarr, Fred Fredburger and Jeff the Spider formed a team to fight evil. Despite good ratings, it wasn’t picked up as that was when Cartoon Network was in their “let’s go head to head against Disney Channel and Nickelodeon by producing kid-oriented live-action shows” phase.
yeah that’s when atoms (and a lot of CN talent)left for the Disney channel and made the execrable “fish hooks”
I’m resurrecting this zombie to report that L.A. Law has recently become available to stream on Amazon Prime. I have fond memories of its original run, but I haven’t started watching again. I don’t know if it holds up
I’m still waiting for James at 15, Homicide: Life on the Street, and Lou Grant to start streaming somewhere. I could have a long wait.
