Woohoo…so I’m not the only one who likes The English Patient. Before I duck and run, here’s another list of popular movies I didn’t quite like:
Coyote Ugly
Hollow Man
Starship Troopers
Charlie’s Angels

Can’t agree enough here! I know I’m not a typical teenager, but I still can’t see why anyone likes these.
I never could tolerate exposure to Austin Powers 2. The original was a clever parody of spy movies in general. It’s sequel was nothing more than sophomoric toilet humor.
I thought Titanic would have been more powerful if it had toned the love story down a bit. The scenes in that movie that I find powerful, and moving, have nothing to do with a drifter and a first class girl who happen to fall in love.
I don’t know if this counts, but I rented Rated X, with Charlie Sheen and Emilio Esteves. It’s about the Mitchell brothers, who owned the O’ Farrell porn theater in San Francisco. I’d read a little about these characters, and was prepared to dislike the movie.
To my surprise it wasn’t bad at all. Pretty factual, and very well done.
I don’t know anyone else who’s seen it, but I’ll recommend the movie to those who haven’t.
It is, of course, sexually pretty graphic.
