Yesterday I pulled out as many Sims 2 discs as I could find and installed them onto my new laptop, and played a few hours with a family. I have the base game, University, and Nightlife. I decided to break down and buy the Ultimate Collection on Origin, which includes all the expansion packs and stuff packs. How do I transfer my data so that I don’t have to start my families all over, but I don’t accidentally delete anything I need for the full game?
Above is how to save your Sims 2 data. Using Option 1 (back up the entire Sims 2 folder) is the best way to ensure that you preserve all of your custom stuff. I copied and pasted my Sims 2 data from one computer to another using that method years ago and didn’t lose anything.
