How to save/back up Sims 2 games?

A friend recently made herself and her cat characters in her Sims 2 game. She doesn’t want to lose the game & the characters so she wanted me to find out how to back up/save her game & her characters. I think I found the answer but she wanted me to ask for Doper wisdom & experience. So what do I tell her to do please?

In her “My Documents” folder, there will be a “\EA Games\The Sims 2” directory. From there, you copy the “Neighborhoods” folder. Or you can go into the “Neighborhoods” folder and copy the folders for just the neighborhoods you are using.
