Mozilla Easter Eggs

For anyone who doesn’t know, Easter Eggs are little hidden gimmicks within programs. Earlier I found one in Mozilla (1.01 Release Candidate 1):

Drag the bookmarks button on the toolbar into the window and a new page appears. I stumbled onto this quite by accident.

Another one is type in about:mozilla in the address bar.

Anyone else know of some fun/not so fun easter eggs in Mozilla and other programs?

check out www.eeggs.com ; there are loads of them ini all sorts of software (one of the most surprising is the flyaround thing in Excel)

I use Mozilla 1.1b, and the bookmarks button seems undraggable. Am I doing something wrong, or has the button changed?

Mac, Unix, Windows? 9, Jaguar, Red Hat, Solaris, ME, XP? Palm Pilot?

Do’h. I’m running Win XP. kitarak, what OS did you find the egg on?

I’m running Win 2000. Which Bookmarks button are you trying to drag? It’s not the menu at the top, it’s the button on the toolbar between ‘Home’ and 'The Mozilla Organization" below the arrows and the address bar.

I’m trying to drag the “Bookmarks” button, right underneath the -> arrow button, just to the right of the “Home” button. I have no “The Mozilla Organization” button, probably I removed it from my personal toolbar folder, whereas you haven’t.

When I click the Boomarks button, a pulldown menu of my bookmarks appears, and there is no dragging possible. Is your bookmarks folder empty, maybe?

I can successfully drag the Home button, and all other buttons on personal toolbar.

With me the menu opens and then, if you hold down the mouse button, you can drag it; however it doesn’t actually show that it’s being dragged if the mouse is over the menu.

And no, my bookmarks folder isn’t empty. Sparsely populated yes, but not empty.

Aha!

[Hand flourish]Is THIS your Easter Egg?

It’s a bug that’s been fixed in my version. The bookmark button isn’t supposed to be a draggable object.

Google Toolbar for Mozilla
I REALLY missed this from IE, glad it’s finally on Mozilla.

Hey Mangetout, thanks for that link, I got to see new goodies in my Evil Dead DVD thanks to that site!

Revtim: Oh, but it’s so much more fun as an easter egg than as a bug.
