I have a grounding in history too, and fail to see how the events of 9/11 benefited the world.
For example, the US was previously being hard on Pakistan to deal with terrorists in Kashmir.
After 9/11, the US desperately needed to use bases in Pakistan to undertake military action, and that became the overiding objective.
As a direct result of 9/11, the situation in Kashmir is deteriorating badly.
So it is conceivable that 9/11 will result in nuclear war, which suggests that Mr. Rilch’s ‘aliens’ are more interested in the destruction of Earth than its survival.
As you know, I try to avoid personal abuse. (Based on your postings, I’m sure you’re both pleasant people!)
I will say that his theory is baloney.
I too have read extensively about the Greys, as well as e.g. the Philadelphia incident and dowsing.
They all share a complete lack of supporting evidence.
I have no trouble in denying all 3 theories.
What was the logical stuff left that persuaded him to believe in Greys?
Well we certainly differ on this.
On the one hand we have aliens with the technology to travel light years, only to spend their time on Earth making crop circles, implanting Americans with devices and mutilating cows.
On the other we have the suggestion that a Government would do almost anything to get re-elected. Watergate proved this has happened once before.
OK, I don’t actually believe either theory. But there is some evidence for one, and none for the other.

Ok, I don’t know Mr. Rilchiam personally, and I am sure he is capable of reason and rationality. I am sure he is a nice guy who believes what he says.
However, if he believes what he said on the radio show, then the idea is kooky and he is, in this area of thought, a kook.

However, based on the various theories you’ve put forward to show what rational and researched people you two are on issues, I am guessing that you, despite being wonderful rational people, have reached many kooky conclusions.
However, if you are a fan of Art Bell (and I am, in some way, a fan), then you have my sincerest congratulations on achieving a dream (or a goal, or whatever you want to call talking to a personal icon). I myself have called the show many times, always hoping to contest the guest, but have never made it even as far as someone answering the phone. One thing you say (maybe it was in the other thread) was that you have had someone answer and say they were backed up for the rest of the show.
That interests me because he claims not to have a screener and to be taking all calls cold (or did he change this after his return?). Do you know who was answering the phone, was it Ramona?
I didn’t hear Mr. Rilch that I remember. I use the show as a sleeping aid, and it’s entertaining. But the next time I hear “John from North Hollywood”, I’l be sure to pay attention.
There is a fair number of people that listen because it is entertaining, and don’t really belive anything that is said. And many of the callers sound sane compared to some of the geusts. Try to listen some night when Red Elk is on. I haven’t heard anything that is worse than some of the crap you hear on Oprah.
Tonight should be good. George Noory lets the guests and callers speak. Noory isn’t nearly as combattive as AB is, he also doesn’t seem to force his ideas on anybody. I’m going to try to stay awake longer tonight.

As for Art Bell being objective, he sure let a lot of crap fly about his own life during that on and off retirement.
Whether or not any of us have actually met Mr. Rilch is completely irrelevant. As long as we have no reason to doubt Rilchiam’s recap of his position on deities or higher races deliberately allowing 9/11 to happen, forum-appropriate criticism of him as the holder of such a position is entirely reasonable.
I generally enjoy listening to Art Bell before going to bed. Though it’s not always a good idea 'cuz sometimes those stories freak me out! Anyway Congrats to Mr. Rilch :).

I did get lots of emails from others saying they agreed with me, so I guess a lot of AB’s listeners really do have some grasp on reality ;-). And my book is doing very happily on Amazon’s list after the show. I’ll have to whore myself out more often.
I wonder if Art Bell ever apologized for his insult to the amateur astronomers of the world that they were covering up the obvious “evidence” of the Hale-Bopp “companion”.
I dunno. I gave the host (George Noory, who does weekends) my opinion of Chuck Shramek, who was the one who found the “companion” the Hale-Bopp, and announced it on AB instead of asking knowledgable people about it first. Like it or not, those Heaven’s Gate people died at the time they did because of Shramek. They would have found some other time and way to die, certainly, but it was when it was because of him. I have never heard of Art Bell. He must not play well here in the Midwest.
Or maybe they won’t let him on the airwaves here because I live so close to Wright-Pat AFB. There have been rumors for years that there is an alien body preserved there somewhere. Hanger 18 maybe?
I’ve driven through the midwest several times listening to Art Bell. Just like most places, I can frequently pick him up on several stations at the same time.
Looks like the Bad Astronomer brought to much rationality to the AB show, and he’s gonna try and set things back to their proper woowoo orientation. He’s interviewing “Nancy” of Planet X USENET spam fame. Betcha no mention of the Bad Astronomer is made.
