I’ve seen Donna Murphy, who played Doc Ock’s wife in SPIDER MAN 2, in STAR TREK- INSURRECTION (ST 9, ST-NG 3) but I never noticed her being that gorgeous! How did she escape the Celebrity Babe radar this long?!?
Btw, doesn’t she have kinda a Kate Bush look to her?
I thought she was much more attractive in *Insurrection * as Anij. Either the makeup in it was really great or she’s really aged a lot in the five(?) years between the two movies.
I first noticed her in Center Stage, and was impressed with her as an actress. When I saw the credits rolling for Spider-Man 2 I was looking forward to her performance and wasn’t disappointed.
Strangely enough she won one of her Tony awards for Passion, where with the help of a lot of stage makeup, she played the really, really, really ugly woman.
At the risk of offending, I reckon it’s because she’s not a Celebrity Babe.
Sure, I think she’s hotter than Chernobyl, but come on . . . you know very well that the sheeple are desperately unwilling to accept as babe someone who doesn’t line up with the Hottie Mean Standard.
It sucks, but I’ve learned to accept that my taste in women is far superior to that of the bulk of the US. They can have their leggy, anorexic, small-nosed blonde bimbelinas. They’re idiots.
You guys who think she’s hot… Do you not look at faces? She looks to me like the makeup artists were trying to make her look really old, but they did a bad job of it. She’s not nearly so bad in ST: Insurrection, but still not great.
Besides, you’ve already got Kirsten Dunst to look at in Spider-man 2… What more do you need?
I don’t think Dunst was particularly attractive in Spiderman 2. Not only was her dye job very inconsistent, her teeth were more than a little discolored and a tad bit on the scary side.
She’s currently playing on Broadway, in Wonderful Town, and she looks a lot better (I think) in that show. She’s got that 50’s secretary thing going on, as opposed to the glamorous wife of a scientist. But in civies, I don’t think I’d really call her hot or anything.
I think she is certainly a babe, but was made to look a little bit less attractive - after all, she played an English major. Had she majored in something like thermonuclear physics they would have cast someone like Nicole Kidman or at least Denise Richards.
