MS "Premium" support is worthless.

Just 5 minutes ago I got a followup phone message from MS Word support, asking me to return the call if the problem hadn’t been resolved. I dunno what these people are thinking – nor do they.

Oh – a side benefit from Saturday’s fix – the same fix also fixed a problem I posted about 3 months ago. In that case, pushing a button crashed the whole program – the “fix” at the time was to turn off all the protections that were intended to protect my computer from infected or corrupted documents downloaded from the web (turning the protections off made sure the button didn’t appear on my screen). Well, I have turned those protections back on and the program works fine.
