MS Word Question:
If you have NO Word document minimized, you can have Word icon on the task bar. You can click it and get a new, fresh page for a new Word document.
However, if there is a Word document minimized to the task bar, the original Word icon is gone, leaving only the icon for the minimized document.
This means that to get a new, fresh page for a new document when there is a minimized document on the task bar, you must go to File and do s couple of clicks or open the minimized document, press CTR- n, go to the document (which comes up automatically), and minimize he document. Then you have your fresh page.
This is annoying. Is there any way to keep the original Word icon on the task bar even if a document is minimized?
If not, id there some other way to get a new page without the minimized document coming to the screen?
The easiest way I know is to right click on the Word icon on the task bar, a menu will pop up, in that menu click on Word 2016* then click on the blank document in the template window
- the year may be different if you have a different version of Office
If you then have two or more Word docs minimised, hovering over the icon gives you a mini window of each to choose from. Right-click to get the option to close them all at once.
