I didn’t mean hard as is “difficult”. But rather as in “requiring more effort that I wanted to expend”. Which was quite minimal.
I know some people have a huge problem with Lib. I don’t. He can be a cock, and I’ve said as much. He can also be one of the most articulate and illuminating posters. I don’t cross swords with him much simply because I think there are many other posters who need repeated smack downs much, much more. Like our resident sage (not quite the right word I don’t think ;)), Der Trihs, who I just “enlightened” again in the pit. Not that it will penetrate, I’m sure.
So, take your powers and redirect them to where they are more needed. It’s not like there’s any shortage of targets with bullseyes on their foreheads that really provide no positive contribution to these boards, except giving each other the slight hope that he or she is not THE biggest moron hereabouts.

Well, of course. That’s scripturally based. Surely there is encouragement in the Gospels to go unto the ends of the earth spreading smack downs against those we judge to be wrong. Start by telling people in a rage to shut up. “A harsh answer turneth away wrath.” I’m sure it’s in the New Testament somewhere…Nope, nope…Not much here but touchy-feely, love your enemy, peacemaker stuff and a verse or two about fencing.

Well, you’re right, really. I tried to intervene precisely because he was going way too far. But in his state of mind, he ignored me, opting instead to continue his tirade. Unfortunately, that is the nature of people in a state of anger. They tend to push away their sympathizers because it takes time away from lashing out at others. And although I say that you are right — after all, you wrote nothing factually incorrect — I still say that he was to some degree goaded by people who post most often for no purpose other than goading. I’m not saying that responses to mswas consisted ONLY of goading. But I’m saying that they were a part of it, a point that I hope you will concede.

(I read your intervening posts with FinnAgain in the meantime. I hope that you will watch carefully to see whether you agree that I’ve made some noticeable improvements in my posting behavior. My new team of physicians have truly helped to change my life and my relationships for the better.)
I’m sorry, but I think there might have been a misunderstanding, which is likely my own fault. When I implied that Tuba has been snarky in the past, I meant it as a general observation — not as the observation of any particular incident. I should also note at this time that I’m on record making the observation that Tuba’s behavior in that regard has greatly improved. In fact, I opened a whole thread about it.
I am truly happy to hear that. I do think you have a lot to offer these boards. Much more than most. At this point, I think the only thing standing between you peace, fame, and fortune is for you to renounce all support of Obama.

I’ll agree some people poked him with a stick. I still don’t attach any real blame to them for his flameout, though. Personal responsibility and all that. I’ve been poked with a stick before, didn’t see a need to spray shit all over every forum because of it. Same goes for others - how many times has DT(to pick an example that mswas mentioned) been pitted, often by the same people again and again? And then the same faces who never interact with him, always show up at the pileon. I don’t see him accusing anyone of stalking him, though.
Well, you’ve made your point cogently, and I really cannot in good conscience deny anything you’ve said, MrDibble. So, I will concede that your argument is superior. (I do, however, classify Der Trihs as a rather special case. Over time, I have become less and less convinced that he believes what he says. But that’s another argument for another time, I suppose.) A tip of the hat to you for arguing so well and so convincingly.

Lib, it’s good to see that you are able to let this nonsense roll off your back. Frankly, when you first said you were doing better because of new medications/doctors/etc, I was highly skeptical.

To everyone who expressed sympathy for me. Thank you, I appreciate it. It seems that people who like me or at least sympathize with me is about the same proportion as the haters.
Marley23 has said it as clearly as it can be said. I called Munch an asshole. What’s funny about it is that RedFury is absolutely correct, I was aware of what I was doing the whole time. Munch pissed me off. I was careless with my words and got banned for an accident. Usually I prefer to be banned for something I do intentionally.
I wasn’t banned because of board bias. No, that’s the reason for the musical Mary Jo Kopechne threads.
FinnAgain is also correct the first time I was suspended it was for trolling, intentional trolling.

If I were to be banned forever from this site I wouldn’t consider it a great tragedy but I have no intention of seeking it out.
I spent the time I would have spent posting learning Drupal. I need to get back on that this week. That way next time I get banned I can just start my own message board.
No, one month wasn’t too long, it was a good amount of time. Had it been for a week I probably wouldn’t have even really registered it.

OK, I’m going to shut this down. Most of the posts are over a month old. I’ve already had two people reporting insults in them, that were dealt with a month back. So, I’m closing this thread and asking that if you want to discuss mswas’s leave and return, start another thread.
