Charlie had issues with an early version of what now is the MBTA in Boston. Even the Scollay Square station is different–it is now Government Station, under City Hall Plaza.
So Charlie’s not dead after all? Then he’s still riding beneath the streets of Boston.
Now, it’s possible the Boston authorities could have made a deal with the NY authorities for NY to take over hosting him. So they could have deported poor Charlie to NY.

Hey, you think that’s bad? When someone dies on a merchant vessel they have no option but to put the body in the cold room with the crew’s food till they get till port. Burial at sea is not acceptable, these days.

That only works if no one knew the deceased was on the vessel in the first place. Not having witnesses to the deceased going on board in the first place is kinda crucial.
With all due respect to the sensitivities of the MTA workers – and the emergency services should make an effort to warn them before entering a room with a body in it – it is IMHO right and proper for the MTA and emergency services to restore subway service as soon as possible.
I’ve heard of being stiffed by a fare, but having a fare be a stiff is a new one…
When my beloved Maggie the Cat passed away it was just before I was to move to a new home. I couldn’t bear to leave her behind…so I bagged her up and put her in the freezer for a couple of weeks until the cross-town move. I had to hide her under the frozen peas lest my girlfriend freak out. This was a one-time deal. If I ever move again I’m not digging her up.
Do they have the appropriate resources (disinfectants) to clean body parts out of kitchen sinks?

To be clear, kitty made it into the ground at the new place. I even put up a nice little marker for her that my dogs, i believe, pee on in spite. If there is another move for me, Mags is gonna stay right where she is.
She’s put down roots there…
