Is onion grass the same as chives? 'Cause I like to chew on onion grass that I find in my backyard, and it sure LOOKS a lot like the chives my mom has growing in her herb garden. But she won’t let me haul the chives up to see if there’s a little oniony thing on the bottom of them, and I never see the purple chivey flowers on the onion grass…

I don’t think you can smoke either one, though 
Onion grass is Allium vineale, Chives are Allium schoenoprasum. Both are members of the lily family. So close, but not the same thing.
Don’tcha just hate it when you roll down a hill in the park and there’s a big patch of onion grass that you didn’t notice before you started rolling and then you roll right through it and then stink the rest of the day?
Do you mean no, you don’t usually roll down hills or no you don’t hate the smell?

I don’t really know onion grass, but I’ve had that experience with deandelions, which stain skin and clothes.
Dandelions? I’ve had that experience with slugs! Yuck-ee!

we don’t have any hills here… well, we have hills but if you try to roll down them you end up hitting at least fifteen trees, and that’s if you aim to miss them…
