1968 Mustang Fastback GT?
I haven’t seen the movie you’re talking about, but from your picture, and with the help of IMDB and Edmunds.com, I think I have come up with the answer.
First, IMDB has a better, somewhat larger copy of your picture:
It’s a sedan. I thought it might be a Bentley, if it’s the kid’s car and he’s rich. Well, it’s not a Bentley. Sandra Bullock is a cop in this movie, yeah? The car in the picture is a Crown Vic, I’m pretty sure. Here’s some pictures from Edmunds of the Crown Vic. Notice the C-pillar, the mirrors, and the door handles. You’ll have to squint 
Finally, IMDB mentions that “Richard’s” car is like Steve McQueen’s in Bullitt, a 1968 Mustang Fastback GT. McQueen’s was Highland Green, I don’t know what color Richard’s was.
I hope vintage Mustang is the answer you’re looking for.
