Anyone sleep on a Murphy bed each night? I’m looking into this and wonder if anyone has any comments on it.

Never slept on one.
But before I moved into my current place, I looked at about a dozen places either with Murphy beds or that used to have Murphy beds. At one time, they were pretty popular in Long Beach.
My old apartment had a murphy bed. I love it. The matress was decent and so it slept well, and it was nice to have the extra space in the day, not to mention the ease of making the bed.
Test-ride before you buy. Some are very nice, and some are torture devices.
I had one in high school because our family moved into a house with strangely small bedrooms. I ended up not really flipping it up that often because once you’re that age you don’t really DO much in your bedroom where you need a lot of room (play with Hot Wheels or whatever.)
It’s just a mattress on a board, really, so if you have a decent mattress you’ll be fine. I’m thinking it was fairly heavy and it was only a twin size. If you’re getting a full size or larger make sure you’re up to giving it a heave in the morning.
Wouldn’t mold, bacteria, cooties etc. flourish in a closed closet? Do you need to let it air out after a night of “passion”?
