I am looking for a website that I may have found through the SDMB at one time. I remember that it had a blue or green background, which has little to do with anything, but still…
It was a utility-type website that you could type in a band or two and it would suggest other bands, but then if you had heard of that band you could choose a “like” or “dislike” link so that it could better tailor answers in the future to what you had clicked.
Anyone know of any website such as this?

I asked if there was an ‘Internet music identifier’ a while ago and got a couple of good replies. I’ve been searching for the thread, but my search-fu is not mighty tonight.
My search-fu is apparently not too great either - I think it may have been something similar to the Pandora internet radio site, but just presented artists, not internet radio - I’m been looking into the Music Genome Project for the last few minutes but feel I am heading in the wrong direction.

Oh crud - I was looking for something to help me find new artists that would be musically related to the artists I like now (in the sense that Band A is linked to Band B by style, genre, or something). Neat site though…

D’OH! :smack: I completely misread your OP.
Sorry.
http://www.gnoosic.com/ is it. Second link down on your Google search. I made the mistake of searching for “Find music utility” or various other combinations of the same idea instead of just typing in what I was looking for. Thank you very much.
