Music for Wedding video

I am having a brain fart, here Dopers. I need a song for a video montage for an upcoming wedding. The woman’s song is “You Must have been a beautiful baby”, but I am stuck for the man’s song. Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Two suggestions:

The Isley Brothers - Shout
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros - Home

You mean a song about the man? Or a song purported to be from the man to the woman? 'Cause you could use “Ain’t She Sweet” or “Everybody Loves My Baby (But My Baby Don’t Love Nobody But Me)”
Also: “Hooray for Baby and Me” (Al Jolson) (kind of implies children may be forthcoming “hooray for two, and maybe three”) (She’s got the lock, I’ve got the key!")
“I Love My Baby, My Baby Loves Me”

I wasn’t looking for songs with the word “baby” in them; rather, songs of the same general vintage and tempo.

For wedding stuff (Men’s side), I like “These Foolish Things (Remind Me of You)”, covered by Brian Ferry.

All My Rowdy Friends Have Settled Down

Sorry, yes a song about the man. And no, we aren’t having kids. We have enough already.

Actually, they haven’t and they’re not invited.

“Let’s Hear It for the Boy?”

Uhhhhhhhhhh…no…:dubious:

Can you give an idea of the mood you’re looking for? What you want the song to say? “Look what a swell guy I’m marrying?” “What a difficult childhood he overcame to be the wonderful person he is now?” “He really is goofy, isn’t he?” Really upbeat? Really romantic?

Sigmagirl - I think I would like it to say a combo of what you asked…

Look what a swell guy he is. he was a cute kid, and he still has it now, despite the knocks life shot his way.

I have listened to (and snuffled over), and passed on these:

100 Years - The two people getting married have only known each other a few years
Simple Man - Nice words, but not the right mood
Beautiful Boy - Too sugary
