Hmm. Billie Joe is married to a woman, but did claim to be bisexual about 10 years ago in some magazine article. Tre Cool has kids and is dating someone in the Donnas. And the guy who’s not Billie Joe or Tre Cool was married, now has a girlfriend.
They did have several openly gay bands (like Pansy Division) open for them when they toured for their first few albums, that might have fueled some rumors.
…and they were written about Billie Jean King and her tennis team, the Philadelphia Freedoms.
The singer in Suede (The London Suede to Americans) is gay, IIRC.

The bass player/singer from my favorite band is openly gay. That’d be Doug Pinnick of the Band King’s X.
They always have, and still continue, to rule.
