Need help finding music similar to * Honor Him - Elysium* from the movie Gladiator. Sort of moody and long. I don’t know how else to describe it.
Scratch that, how about music that is similar to the entire Gladiator soundtrack?
BTW, what language are they singing in?
Same vocalist (Lisa Gerrard) is on the Baraka Soundtrack, in the “Dead Can Dance” piece called (I think) “Host of Seraphim”.
(I think on the soundtrack, it’s track 3)
If you liked Gladiator as a soundtrack (composer:Hans Zimmer , featuring Lisa Gerrard), may I also recommend “The Peacemaker” (also scored by Zimmer)?
I didn’t like the movie so much, but the score really grew on me.
(There’s a nice bit of mournful Russian stuff amid the more faster paced pieces.)
If I were to place Gladiator near any other CD I have, I would go for Peter Gabriel’s “Passion” (Music for The Last Temptation of Christ) as well.
Finally, as to the “language” being sung on the Gladiator soundtrack, it may have been made up, or else I’m thinking of the singing in Vangelis’s 1492 - one of them is made up, I know.

Lisa Gerrard has done quite a bit of solo work as well.
Gerrard also did The Insider soundtrack which was good
