In the song “You’re My Home” on the Piano Man album, what instruments am I hearing at:
A) The repeat of the opening. There are four bars of music, like some kind of steel sounding six-string guitar, or very crisp sounding guitar? Next, the four bars repeat with a “more full” guitar sound, like maybe two acoustic guitars or a twelve string?
B) Late in the first verse, I wager there is an organ with a Leslie or a synthesizer? There are cat-like sounds, like the notes are being “extended” or “stretched”, but not simply like pressing the “sustain” pedal on a piano. This type of “sound” is typical of Gordon Lightfoot. One type clearly has reverb, and another has a wha-wha sound to organ tones? I think you hear this a lot in “If” by Bread.
C) Last, a little later, there are like “shimmery” tones, akin to stars twinkling…if music could twinkle! (Also like Gordon Lightfoot)
Any idea what I am hearing for A, B and/or C?
