So Musk is showing the same genius that he shows in all his dealings. For those keeping count at home this leaves the “gammon” vote in the UK split between three parties:
The conservatives
Reform
Reform UK
Someone should tell Musk that all the other billionaires are laughing at him because he’s only bankrolled two fascist parties in the UK. To really should how alpha he is he should start the Reformation Party of the United Kingdom too.
The gammons won’t know what to do with themselves if they have to choose between Reform Ltd (Tory 2.0), Restore Britain, Advance UK and whatever other fascist nonsense presents itself. Currently, they’re struggling with the simple concept that the upcoming local council elections don’t have any influence on the government’s immigration policy.
Not directly they don’t. But once Fascists can shout there nonsense from local council offices and monthly official meetings, they’ll gain traction with the legion of silent Fascists.
We over in the USA didn’t realize quite how many silent fascists we had until they found out they had strength in numbers then they all emerged full-throated like cicadas.
True, but so far all of the Reform-led local councils have failed miserably and demonstrated that at a local level, they are incompetent and already showing signs of imploding. I don’t doubt that there are plenty of silent fascists who are willing to wreck Britain just as much as yours have done, but hopefully we are still a few years away from a general election and they will have lost traction by then.

Still we can take a moment to appreciate how incredibly crap at this Musk is.
Incredibly (at the risk of hijacking) the value of tesla shares went up following the announcement of continued declines in revenue. The world’s most valuable car company continues to grow in value. Against all logic.
Yeah that’s a whole different discussion. IMO Musk couldn’t do any better if he was a trotskyist infiltrator, deliberately trying to undermine the Capitalist system and dispell the myth that the captains of industry got where they are through superior intelligence and skill.
And as for more or less self-acknowledged neo-fascists and white supremacists, there’s Britain First, and Patriotic Alternative, and no doubt quite a few “two men and a pitbull” outfits scrapping outside the public bar while Farage and the others try to edge each other out of the comfier seats in the saloon bar.
Yeah though none of them are in danger is splitting the conservative vote anywhere. Especially seeing as those “mainstream” far right parties mentioned above are a haircut and a swastika tattoo away from them anyway.
