I just heard that muslims within pre 67 borders are quite happy with the Israeli state, and have full civil rights, and that the last civil right granted to them ** at their request** was cumpulsory military service in the IDF.
Could this be true ?

I don’t think this is true. I’m pretty sure Arab Muslims and Christians are still exempted from mandatory service in the IDF. They’re free to enlist, though. Other than that, Arab Israelis have the same rights and responsibilities under the law as any other Israeli. As to whether or not they’re happy, that varies, and I think it’s safe to say most of them aren’t that happy with the current Israeli government and its policies. Arab Israelis either tend to vote Labour-One Israel, or the Arab parties that enter into coalitions with Labour.

Watch where you’re driving.
Druze Muslims in Israel serve in the army. Arabs are exempt from compulsary service. Interestingly enough, very religious Jews are also exempt from compulsary service.
Under law, Arab citizens of Israel are awarded equal rights as any other group. In practice, however, noticable discrimination by society in general seems to exist.
