Every year, I tell myself: “No more Christmas CD’s, Bill! You’ve got all the songs in nearly every version!”, and every year I buy at least three.
Last year it was “Christmas With The Lettermen”, “The Frank Sinatra Christmas Album”, and the one I really wasn’t sorry I bought, “The Lost Christmas Eve” by The Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
I loathe Christmas music, but the wife loves it, so I just bought Winter Carols by Blackmore’s Night. I love Candice’s voice, so it ought to be tolerable.
Has anyone listened to Sarah McLachlan’s “Wintersong”? It got mostly good reviews on amazon but I’m afraid it might be a little wimpy? Beautifully subtle or a snoozefest?
