Mustang Ranch rumours

I have heard recently that the Mustang Ranch is alive and well and open in Nevada. I also heard that due to its seizure by the Feds that it is now fed owned and used as a “retreat” for govt folks.

Any truth to this, or more conspiracy theory schtick?

The feds did take over Mustang Ranch. IIRC it ran on as a brothel for a while, but is now closed. Last I heard they were attempting to make it into a Mustang Ranch, a place for them to keep the wild horses that the Park Service rounds up yearly.

I recommend pleasant.”

As of October 99 the BLM was indeed considering turning the 'Ranch into a horse ranch.

More recently I don’t know. I’ll keep searching.

Try this link: www.rgj.com/news/stories/carson/945842761.html It’s to the Reno Gazette-Journal, for a story published 12-22-99. This is the most recent one I could find. I got it, in turn, from www.gppays.com

First South Dakota in 1980, now Nevada’s Mustang Ranch.

Why does every legal brothel seem to get closed down by the Federal government?!

Can you imagine all the guys who are still gonna go to the ranch, not knowing it’s a “real” Mustang Ranch?

And I don’t want to imagine the guys who are gonna go who know it’s really horses.

So they want investors huh?

(checking bank balances, 401k, IRA, and retirement bond) then
(thinking to self PIMP DADDY NEWTON, kinda has a ring to it)

anyone else wanna go in on this venture?
(Hearing wife calling me)
kidding, I was kidding.

The the Fed gov’t owns it, we are investors.

I own a piece of the Mustang Ranch.

Cool.

Jes’ call me Dirty Ol’ Daddy, y’nome sayin?

From the Newsweek link posted by andros:

“Racketeering”?! What the hell? Did the owners actually do something underhanded, or are Grand Juries now being instructed that prostitution counts as “racketeering” even when it’s legal?!

Bleah.

Tracer, you might want to get your facts straight before attacking the ‘feds’ over their purported approach to prostitution.

The convictions had to do with totally different unsavory and illegal activities of the owners. Indeed, the government owned the ranch because of having siezed it relating to those other activities. The actual activities can be found out pretty simply by looking at news stories about the time of the closure in August.

So for a period of time was or was not this Ranch used by the government as a “retreat” for employees in high levels?

Furthermore as a taxpayer, were they looking to better my tax interests by closing it? Or would my tax money have been better spent in keeping it open and “taxing the hell” out of it?

Another wasted opportunity by the Fed to start paying down that deficit, and reduce taxes.

And giving taxpayers the chance to screw the government for a change.
